HISTORY

Second generation - my Mother

Although my Grandfather had four daughters and one son, only one of his children was interested in dogs and cynology - my Mom, Ewa Wozniak (later Czarkowska). She was the youngest from all the siblings but she helped taking care of the dogs from when she was very little. They were passion for her same as for my Grandfather. In 1974, she received her first dog as acknowledgement – a Medium Schnauzer grey and white, named BURKA Janus.

In 1979, my Mom bought a female of Miniature Schnauzer for her family.

Her name was DAISY DELTA od Kawy, she was born in a famous kennel belonging to Barbarafot. From z Coyoacan FCI kennel archives Szczepkowska and was my Mom’s first step to her own breeding, initially called "Nilhi". Only one litter was breed at this kennel (litter "A") however one of the puppies got quite a lot of show successes.

She was my mate, my friend, my guardian and my reason of being proud at the same time. She stayed with us for almost 11 years.

In the mid of 80’s, when travelling to a West-European capital, we saw a dog of exceptional prettiness. He looked so impressive that since then owning such a dog became my Mom’s dream. His look- cold, confident and proud was simply incredible. It was the first time we saw a Siberian Husky.

In 1990 the dream came true - our family was joined by a grey and white male named SIKO Sivudelek which was the first male registered at the Polish Kennel Club in Warsaw. fot. From z Coyoacan FCI kennel archives

Apart of being a licensed companion dog, Siko was also a sled as well as a show dog. However he definitely did better in races.

Some say that someone who owns a Siberian will choose one of two ways in life - have nothing to do with this breed anymore or fall in love in it and soon become owner of all a pack of Huskies. Czarkowski family definitely chose the second way.

In 1992 we were joined by a black and white female, BINNIE Odyssea Severu CS (called Sonia) brought from Czech Republic. And that would be probably the end if it weren’t for our trip to Mexico where the Siberians, breed basing on selected American dogs, represent quite a high level on the shows...

Therefore, one of our most precious souvenirs from Mexico was CHOCOLATE Lievanos born in 1991. Before she went back to Poland, Choco was awarded her first CACIB’s, CAC’s and after being obligatory examined for hip dysplasia, she became a Mexican Champion. A couple of years later she was also awarded a Polish Champion title and soon as the first Siberian in polish history got her International Champion award.

After getting back to Poland, my Mom decided to make her dreams coming true. In 1994 she registered her kennel as "z Coyoacan FCI" which in Nahuatl (Aztec language) means "site of coyotes".

Chocolate breed with a selected male imported from the USA, named Blaquejac’s Eryk Fortunatus, gave birth to Bohun, Bjorn, Bursztyn, Bajka and Bystra which were the pride of the “z Coyoacan” FCI kennel.

Among many of the show awards, one was very special- the first International Champion title for a Siberian breed in Poland. The success belongs to BOHUN z Coyoacan FCI.

Just as my Mom has cynological roots, my Father derives from a sports family - both of my grandparents are skilled sportsmen with master awards on their accounts. Although in a more amateurish way, my father was dedicated to sports from when I can remember.

His passion helped introducing to our kennel something extremely important in case of Siberians breeding - the sleddog sport.

And this is how, Huskies proved being the factor which combined two of my Parents’ passions in a perfect way.
Two passions that initially looked so faraway and to which the remedy was one - the Siberians.
